Celestial Pumpkins

YOU WILL NEED:
Pumpkins
Saw or carving knife
Scraper
Power drill and one quarter-inch bit
White christmas lights.

First, lay the pumpkin on its side and use saw or knife to carve out a circular hole in the bottom, large enough for your hand to fit comfortably through. Remove flesh and seeds. With a scraper, scrape away pumpkin's inner wall until it is about one-quarter inch thick. Turn pumpkin right side up.

1. Fit a power drill with a bit.

2. Drill holes at random across the shell, or follow a uniform pattern that you have laid out with tape.

3. Inset a string of white or clear lights through the bottom opening, and push one bulb through each hole so that all bulbs extend beyond the pumpkin shell. Bind remaining lights inside the pumpkin so they don't touch the ring. Turn right side up with plug running from the bottom.
